- When you apply for a credit card, your approval is dependent on an algorithm
- For example if you’ve paid off all your credit card debt, it takes time for credit card companies to report that to the bureau’s
- If they haven’t updated your credit score, the algorithm probably isn’t going to approve you for the credit card you’re applying to
- So what you do about this? I suggest looking into a Reconsideration Line.
Reconsideration Line
- What is a Reconsideration Line?
- A Reconsideration Line is a phone number you can call to ask why you have been denied for a credit card
- Since you’ve already been denied, you don’t have much to lose in calling them and trying to negotiating with them
- They might be willing to work with you
